Business Development Director - Institutional Sales - Ref: KP13022

Our client, a global and technology focused Fund Administration business, is looking to hire two new Business Development Directors based in London: one to join their Institutional Sales team in EMEA, and the other to join their Hege Fund Administration team in EMEA. Successful candidates will have a proven track records in Fund Services sales, either in the institutional or the hedge fund arena of outsourced middle-office, back office, fund administration and accounting services.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • To develop a strong pipeline of potential clients in the relevant sector with a focus on profitable new revenue generation.

  • Identify and win new business, mainly in EMEA, targeting asset managers and insurers on the Institutional side; and new fund launches or established funds across the hedge fund space.

  • To identify and win mandates across all products and services (especially the firm’s Middle Office and associated service offerings).

  • Take ownership of the sales process and lead commercial negotiations in line with internally agreed parameters.

  • Develop and manage the financial intermediary and third-party services provider network.

  • Help build the firm’s brand and increase brand awareness to generate quality leads.

  • To participate in industry events and European thought leadership initiatives by writing topical articles pertinent to the industry.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Successful candidates will have a proven track record in business development across institutional Asset Management / insurance companies or Hedge Fund, Managed Accounts, and Fund of Hedge Fund Administration mandates.

  • You must be a self-starter, quick learner, and motivated to deliver strong sales results.

  • You will have the ability to establish and maintain relationships with key influencers in the industry.

  • You will have a flexible and creative solution selling approach and be keen to work in a target driven and commission focused environment.
