Communications Associate (12 month FTC) £Exc + Bens - Ref: AB14005
Our client, a progressive global Asset Manager is looking to add to their highly regarded Communications team by hiring an energetic and enthusiastic individual. You will part of the Global Communications Team, assisting with the development and implementation of the firm's communications activity, both globally and regionally focused in the UK, Europe and US. The role will focus on internal communications to support a wide range of activity, working with many different business areas, with the aim of ensuring that the programs are well communicated and received by employees.
Roles & Responsibilities
Work with the Internal Communications Managers on the execution of a coordinated global internal communications plan designed to support employee engagement and aligned to the firm’s vision, purpose and values.
Work on a range of regional (UK, Europe and the US) and global communications activity and campaigns. This will involve writing content for staff communications, writing and developing intranet pages, organising events, developing presentations, using multi-media and a multi-layered approach. Areas of focus will include:
Regional business communications
Diversity and Inclusion strategy and initiatives
Charitable and philanthropic programmes
People and Culture focused activity such as Mental Health Awareness
Responsible investment and sustainability-focused activity
Investment team updates
Work with digital colleagues in relation to use of social media linked to communications activity that will support the firm’s profile externally.
Support our media relations activity, working with the Senior Communications Manager
Experience & Qualifications
Good communication skills at all levels, particularly written communications.
Hands on approach, with a flexible and adaptable manner.
An understanding of Asset Management would be a distinct advantage
Ideally 1-3 years’ experience of working within communications, specifically internal communications.
Understanding of communications methods, including digital.
Excellent writing skills with the ability to write for different audiences and mediums (short and long-form) e.g. ecomms, intranet, social
Excellent attention to detail and a proven ability to manage/prioritise a wide range of tasks
Innovative and creative thinker, capable of generating new ideas
