Corporate Actions - £Exc + bens & bonus

Our client, a highly regarded Asset Manager with circa $35Bil of Asset Under Management is looking for an experienced Corporate Actions professional to work within the broader Investment Operations team and take responsibility operations professional to take responsibility for monitoring, instructing and processing Corporate Action and Dividend events.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Record upcoming Corporate Action and Dividend events utilising various system feeds to help collate this data.

  • Instruct all voluntary corporate action events, adhering to all deadlines. Check for any restrictions that may impact clients from participating. Liaise with the Legal Department where applicable and fill out any additional paperwork required to allow participation.

  • Contact PMs in a timely manner on any deadlines and also monitor events, speaking to PMs should there be issues or opportunities.

  • Instruct the Custodians, monitoring the flow and dealing with any rejections or issues in a timely manner.

  • Process all mandatory events in our accounting system on the relevant dates, ensuring any prices are entered to ensure the valuation is correct.

  • Speak to third parties, such as custodians, to ensure all information is received to allow deadlines to be met and deal with any discrepancies that arise.

  • Work with the reconciliations team on any breaks that may occur, resolving these as soon as possible.

  • Monitoring and collating FX requirements that are needed to cover corporate actions but also resulting from the trade flow.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5 years’ + exposure to Corporate Actions would be preferable.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Good communication skills to speak to employees of all levels.

  • Willingness to take responsibility and use initiative.

  • Numerate & Strong analytical skills with an interest in implement change and process improvement.

  • Strong Excel and Word skills with an excellent eye for detail.
