Director - Investment Data and Technology £Exc + bens
Our client, a leading wealth management firm is seeking a highly experienced Investment Data and Technology Director to drive strategic change and enhance their investment technology and data capabilities. Leading the Data & Technology teams, the role will have ownership for the implementation of all data/technology change and, the associated day to day operations for services managed internally. Taking full responsibility for the technology and data capabilities, the successful candidate will share their strategic vision and champion roadmaps through strong stakeholder and peer engagement.
Roles & Responsibilities
Formulate a vision, socialise and gain support for how data & technology will be utilised within the Investments division.
Influence the strategic technology & data roadmaps through strong stakeholder and peer engagement.
Develop data & technical aspects of the Investments divisions strategy for alignment with its business goals, objectives and outcomes.
Ensure that the data & technological resources satisfy the Investment divisions short and long-term needs.
Verify all data & technological practices adhere to regulatory standards and compliance.
Identify and implement innovative technologies that yield a demonstrable and quantified competitive advantage.
Provide clarity, structure, leadership and vision for the team.
Supervise platform, data & system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency.
Communicate data & tech-strategy to colleagues at all levels. Ensure colleagues and team members have the required skills and training to maximise the benefit realisation of the data & technology capabilities.
Own executive decisions on behalf of the company’s technological requirements.
Experience & Qualifications
Strong working knowledge & experience of investment management data & technology operations covering all aspects of the Company’s Investments value chain (front to back).
Strong working knowledge & experience of the data & technology requirements to support a multi asset Investment risk analytic capability gained within an asset management domain.
Strong knowledge of technology & data management strategies, implementations and best practices applicable to an asset management environment.
Knowledge of public & private asset classes and investment products.
Deep experience of software vendors supporting Investment Research, Portfolio Monitoring and Risk Oversight capabilities.
Ability to build high-quality, open relationships within the team, stakeholders and peers across other divisions.
Confidence and ability to communicate technical topics with non-technical audiences.
