Our client, a highly regarded Investment firm with circa $48Bil of Asset under Advice has a newly created role for a talented and experienced investment professional to join their investment research team. This is a strategically important role focussed on impact investment. The successful candidate will be responsible for both impact investments and advising clients of impact strategies in their portfolios.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Principally focused on generating market rate returns in the private equity asset class (which includes buyouts, growth, venture capital and private equity real estate).

  • Primary responsibilities include manager selections - sourcing, due diligence, legal review and negotiation, monitoring, manager relationship management and performance reporting.

  • Additional responsibilities include manager landscaping, co-investment sourcing, and impact measurement.

  • Client Portfolio Management: Act as an advisor to client accounts where there is a mandate to invest in Impact funds or to craft an impact strategy and might underwrite strategy-specific investments for a smaller cohort of client portfolios to deliver meaningful impact through real world outcomes.

Experience & Qualifications

  • At least 7 years Investment experience preferably from either an investment bank, asset-management firm, investment consultant or asset allocator with a demonstrable track record of impact investing.

  • Strong verbal, written and presentation-based communication skills. A mature, balanced and convincing communication style. Be comfortable and confident interacting with business leaders and sophisticated asset managers.

  • Possess a strategic mind-set and be able to evidence a flexible entrepreneurial attitude with an ability to support a developing strategy within a fast-moving and high energy organisation.

  • An appetite for tackling challenging projects, whilst offering the chance to make an impact.

  • Candidate is expected to have an undergraduate degree with a strong record of academic achievement. CFA Chartership is preferred, but not essential.
