Investment Data Visualisation Project – Front Office Equities (6 month Contract)

An exciting new project to join this leading investment house to assist with the implementation of their new Equity monitoring capabilities. Newly onboarding investment analytics platform, FactSet, responsibilities will include generating basic metrics across multiple investment strategies and provide further calculations to generate advanced analytics. These advanced analytics will be used to drive visualisations and interactive analytics for the front-office team.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop file management process – checking receipt and allowing structured storage of inbound      Excel file on a month-end cycle

  • Develop naming and grouping conventions

  • Implement pre-defined calculation methods for further analysis using the raw Excel      files/reports, generating advanced analytics and aggregated summary data for end-user

  • Implement pre-defined Excel based visualisations and interactive analytics

  • Develop methods using VBA or other embedded MS Office tools, to aggregate and output selected visualisations into final reports

Experience & Qualifications

Ideal profile would include:

  • Either a front office Equity trading context with strong technical Excel/data skills being paramount

  • Experienced with regular Front Office liaison

  • Comfortable with project deliverables

  • Be able to hold technical discussions, evaluate and find solutions

  • Great communication skills, enjoy making improvements, assertive

  • Have a flexible attitude, work through problems, find solution and be a trusted, reliable and proactive source for the business to work closely with
