Our client, a highly regarded Global Asset Manager is looking for a Product Associate to join their highly regarded team and assist with the core product development and management of the global product team assisting in the day-to-day product work across our European and US domiciled pooled fund structures.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist in development of global business assessments and subsequent implementation of initiatives within the Global Pooled Funds team.

  • Deliver effective project management of agreed new product developments and enhancements to the existing product set, including rationalisation of funds where necessary, to senior management for approval and prioritisation.

  • Assist with the overall lifecycle management of the global product set in conjunction with other members of global product team.

  • Develop close working relationships within the firm to ensure that product initiatives run smoothly, and a strong team culture is developed. Assist in management of stakeholder expectations such that they are enthused by ongoing development yet understand realistic deliverables.

  • Understand market dynamics, competitive landscape, fund flows, legislative and new product developments across geographical markets with a view to identifying and quantifying opportunities, to deliver useful market insight to the broader team.

  • Monitor the impact of legislation on product and product distribution and where necessary attend industry briefings to assess the firm’s commercial response.

  • Conduct post implementation reviews of product developments and other projects to ensure that business objectives are met, and that project management and team management processes are continually enhanced and improved.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Ideally you will have gained exposure to Product Development & or Management gained from within the Asset Management arena.

  • Strong people skills, particularly an ability to build effective relationships at all levels both internally and externally

  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectively, and able to manage conflicting needs

  • Analytical thinker with ability to contribute solid and relevant comprehensive research and analysis

  • Strong people skills, particularly an ability to build effective relationships at all levels both internally and externally

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
