Product Manager - Ref: AB13104

Our client, a rapidly growing fintech business that acts as a central connection in the investment ecosystem, is looking to add to their Product team. You will be part of the Fund Design and Product Management team and report directly to the Chief of Operations & Services.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Working alongside existing members of the Fund Design, Product Management & Tax team, the role will focus on the development of funds and solutions for the European market.

  • Close coordination with the Sales team and the Solutions team, as well as the other functional areas of the business (eg Operations, Legal, Investment Risk, Regulatory Services, and Technology) in order to design and launch new funds and solutions, and provide the ongoing related product management of these.

  • Ensure new fund structures are viable from an operational, regulatory and commercial perspective, and part of the firms wider strategic vision.

  • Assist in the strategic development of the business through recommending enhancements to existing funds with a view to enhancing the profitability and competitiveness of the business.

  • Assist with enabling distribution of the existing fund range in agreed markets, ensuring licences and registrations are in place in key markets.

  • Once launched, working closely with the functions across the firm to ensure the management of fund structures are kept up-to-date, meet the needs of our key strategic markets, adhere to all regulatory requirements and continue to deliver the intended solution to clients.

  • Monitor regulatory and tax developments in the relevant markets, assessing impact on the fund ranges and the funds business and making any recommendations for change to meet those requirements.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience required in an Asset Management Product Development role

  • Solid technical knowledge and understanding of pooled funds required, including understanding of a variety of fund legal structures such as corporate structures and tax transparent funds

  • Regulatory experience and a good understanding of the current financial regulatory issues (in particular a detailed understanding of AIFMD and UCITS regulation)

  • Experience in liaising with advisory firms and fund service providers.

  • Experience in working in a fast-growing entrepreneurial environment would be beneficial

  • Proactive and tenacious

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
