RFP & Data Manager £Exc + bens & bonus

A newly created role has arisen within this highly regarded boutique Asset Manager for an experienced RFP professional to take ownership of the RFP process and over time assemble a proposal team that has the skills to prepare and submit winning proposals.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include the introduction and implementation of all necessary proposal procedures and governance. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines.

  • The ideal candidate should have good time and project management skills to ensure that proposals are submitted accurately and on time.

  • Co-ordinate and produce proposals (RFI, PPQ, ITT, RFP etc.) response whilst assembling a proposal team that has the skills to prepare and submit a winning proposal.

  • In collaboration with Sales, evaluate existing RFP process, identify areas for improvement and re-design to be ‘fit-for-purpose’

  • Co-ordinate RFP responses, liaising with relevant stakeholders and with support of designated Sales representative.

  • Meeting proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering.

  • Managing responses through internal workflows to ensure appropriate sign-off from control functions, including legal and compliance.

  • Use Salesforce to monitor RFP stages in line with identified sales opportunities.

  • Regularly report on RFP activity.

  • Determine proposal requirements by identifying and clarifying objectives within the RFPs.

Experience & Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate has a strong technical background and understanding of business process management / enterprise software and security considerations, five or more years of experience responding to technical RFPs from large firms and government organisations, coupled with strong writing skills.

  • A demonstrable track record/understanding of the Asset management arena.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage deadlines efficiently.

  • Strong critical thinking ability.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Willing to challenge established procedures & processes to improve efficiency.

  • A self-starter with the ability to use their initiative
