Responsible Investment Analyst (Stewardship) £Exc +bens
An exceptional opportunity to join this highly regarded investment manager and take responsibility for helping to shape Responsible Investment activities and ensuring compliance with existing policies. Working closely with a small team, the successful individual will be responsible for supporting the continued evolution of systematic ESG integration within the investment process and the delivery of reporting on the company’s stewardship in collaboration with colleagues. Candidates should ideally bring strong knowledge of investment markets and ESG/RI practices along with an outcome-focused attitude.
Roles & Responsibilities
The RI Analyst (Monitoring and Reporting) will be responsible for supporting the continued evolution of systematic ESG integration within the investment process and the delivery of reporting on the company’s stewardship in collaboration with colleagues.
Be the hands-on “go to” contact for stewardship recording and reporting within the RI Team.
Help implement efficient processes for recording, collating and curating information on stewardship and its outcomes which can contribute to portfolio monitoring and the production of reporting which evidences the responsible stewardship the company delivers.
Have direct interaction with internal and external (delegate) investment managers on stewardship reporting matters
Subject matter expert on best practice standards in stewardship reporting, involved in actively identifying requirements relevant to this FCA regulated asset manager
Help to expand the range of data, metrics, and insights being routinely captured on actions and outcomes as part of the company’s asset management routines.
Design and implementation of efficient investment processes, practices, and data systems which result in information (quantitative and qualitative) on stewardship actions and outcomes
Carry out research and producing thought pieces on emerging themes which support the development of the company’s views and eventually embed these into processes and frameworks.
Experience & Qualifications
2-3 years relevant experience in Investment Management, in a Responsible Investment or Stewardship function
Clear interest in finance and sustainability, as demonstrated through education or work experience.
Experience of direct interaction with internal and external (delegate) investment managers on stewardship reporting matters
Capabilities to perform focussed research and analysis, and present clear, accurate, timely, actionable summaries of their findings to a range of users and audiences
Experience of process design ownership and oversight, with strong data management capabilities and aptitude for efficient use of data systems
Strong report writing ability
Interest and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a range of people and disciplines, developing trust in relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, including portfolio managers
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to research and listen, receive and adapt ideas, process information, and share thoughts and recommendations in a clear, concise and engaging manner
Experience and ability in manipulating data in Excel
