Business Development roles, (Securities Services background essential) £70,000 to £120,000 base salary + bens + commission

Leading provider of innovative technologies for the financial services industry is currently seeking two experienced Sales / Business Development Executives (one senior, one mid-level) who have a strong track record in selling from a Securities Services background to join its growing Sales / Relationship Management team. Acquired expertise in the Securities Services / Fund Services industry will be pivotal during the scale phase as the company expands their reach and enhances client engagement across their technology in UK and Europe.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Generating leads and following up on them to convert them into business deals, actively participating in the development of your sales pipeline.

  • Identifying new business opportunities through market research, networking, and any other means.

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with potential clients, partners, and key stakeholders.

  • Implementing and modifying strategies on a need by basis to achieve revenue targets.

  • Negotiating and closing deals with potential clients.

  • Participating in industry events, conferences, and other networking opportunities.

  • Collaborating with other teams to develop proposals, pitch presentations, and other sales collateral.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven track record in business development / sales (or hybrid sales/RM function) from within a Securities Services company. Additionally, any SaaS experience and Fund Management industry experience more generally will be beneficial.

  • Comfortable with managing complex deals, consultative selling and long deal cycles.

  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, additional European languages would be beneficial but not essential.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

  • Self-motivated, ‘hunter’ sales mentality, and positive attitude are essential.
