Commercial Director - Highly competitive salary, bonus and commission structure

Pioneering Private Funds solution provider is expanding rapidly, and as such, is seeking a Commercial Director to play a pivotal role in leading and strategising the commercial efforts of the business – which is focused on investor onboarding. The successful candidate will be a Private Markets expert and be able to drive growth and forge meaningful industry relationships whilst developing a stellar sales team across Europe.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the CEO and other Executive Directors, you will develop and execute innovative commercial strategies and proactively grow the business into the Private Markets sector in a senior ‘player - manager’ capacity.

  • Build a high-performing team, providing mentorship and guidance to maximize their potential.

  • Identify and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and investors to expand network and opportunities (including COOs, CFOs, Chief Compliance and General Counsel contacts).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of business initiatives.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory developments, integrating insights into our market approach.

  • Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and learning, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Monitor and analyse performance metrics to continuously optimise commercial outcomes.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and hands-on commercial experience in the financial private markets sector (Could be from a Fund Servicing sales background, or from an audit / consultancy services perspective, or Investor Relations at a large Fund Manager).

  • A track record of driving commercial success, achieving growth targets, and fostering lasting connections.

  • Deep understanding of financial markets, products (particularly credibility within the investor onboarding sphere for Private Market clients), and industry dynamics and the ability to reach out to connections instantly.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA or equivalent would be beneficial.
