Product Development Consultant - 9 month FTC - £Exc + Bens

Our client, a boutique institutional asset manager with sustainability at the core of their investment offering has a newly created role within their experienced Product team for a Product Development Consultant. You will undertake Product Development and Management responsibilities across the firm’s equity and fixed income strategies.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Work with the Investment and Business Development teams to develop and further enhance the range of sustainable fixed income and / or equity strategies or funds.

  • Project manage new share class launches, registrations and other fund developments to maximise distribution potential.

  • If applicable, working closely with other members of the product team, set up any new fund with the UCITS platform provider.

  • Work closely with the Legal team to create or amend legal documents associated with the relevant funds / strategies, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.

  • Undertake market research to ensure all products continue to be competitive.

  • Provide training to other teams across the business to outline the key characteristics of the products.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Ideally you will have a minimum of 4-7 years Product Development/Management experience within Asset Management.

  • Strong understanding of the market and investment theory.

  • In depth knowledge of UCITS regulatory requirements.

  • Deep knowledge of asset management industry and competitors.

  • Robust knowledge of ESG and Sustainable products.

  • Ideally some marketing or distribution experience.

  • Understanding of the relevant legal and regulatory considerations associated with launching new products across different markets and geographies.
