Senior Associate – Operations/Specialty - £Exc
Our client is a leading Hedge Fund who manage $8 billion of catastrophe, specialty, and climate related Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS).
The Senior Associate is responsible for reporting and analytics across underwriting, claims and reinsurance performance monitoring requirements and ad hoc requests, including assisting in the data collation, validation, and production returns and submissions.
Ultimately, you will leverage your capabilities and expertise to improve data and reporting and implement practical solutions, helping shape the future of specialty insurance.

Roles & Responsibilities
Underwriting Performance: Monitor and analyse underwriting performance against plan, investigate deviations, and ensure adherence to agreed line size, licensed territories, and other terms.
Delegated Underwriting: Maintain, analyse, and report on bordereaux and management thereof, ensure reporting performance of Coverholders, and oversee accuracy and completeness of information required for Atlas or DCOM.
Outwards Reinsurance: Maintain a detailed central reinsurance contract database, monitor accuracy and completeness of reinsurance documentation, and assist in the coordination of LORS signings and premium messaging.
Claims: Review claims systems and data, produce claims management information.
Policies / Procedures: Produce and maintain operations process documentation, review underwriting-related policies and procedures, and coordinate updates to Underwriting Guidelines.
Controls: Ensure adherence to key underwriting controls, operational monthly and quarterly controls, and work closely with Finance and Reserving teams.
Reporting: Assist in the production of internal committee and working group reports and review key Lloyd’s Returns.
Audit: Coordinate internal and external audits from an operations perspective.
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or related discipline.
5 years of relevant work experience in Insurance or Financial Services. Experience in (re)insurance or Lloyd’s is a plus.
Advanced skills in data manipulation and analysis. Experience with technical tools and languages such as Power Query, SQL and Python for data querying, analysis, and automation.
