Senior Product Manager £Exc + Bens & Bonus

Our client, a highly regarded mid-size asset manager with sustainability at the core of their investment offering is looking to add to their Product team by hiring an experienced Senior Product Manager. You will undertake Product Governance and Development responsibilities across the firm’s UK & Irish Domiciled fund range to ensure it remains fit for purpose and meets client needs and can deliver on the overall strategy of the business.

Roles & Responsibilities

To maintain and continually improve a robust product governance framework for the pooled fund ranges, ensuring that products continue to meet the needs of the target market.
To manage the product review and monitoring processes in relation to Consumer Duty, Assessment of Value and other reviews specified in the firm’s product governance policy. This will include collating and analysing product data, reporting to internal governance committees and fund boards, and ensuring that the review processes remain fit for purpose as the business and regulatory environment develops.
Support the Product team in managing and delivering the product roadmap including:

- Incorporating the launch of new sub-funds to support the business strategy.

- Launching and activating new share classes where client demand is identified.

- Carrying out material changes to existing funds to address evolving client and business needs including repositioning funds, mergers and fund closures.

- Updating the fund range and disclosures to meet new regulatory requirements.

- Inputting into the prioritization of the pipeline of activity.

- Engaging and contributing as required to key strategic initiatives in relation to the firm’s product offering.

Ongoing maintenance of the firm’s existing product range to ensure alignment with product strategy.
Maintaining fund and share class registration to support the distribution strategy.
Monitoring share class viability and closing classes which are no longer aligned to client and business needs.
To assist in responding to queries from the business in relation to the product range, and to work with all areas of the business to ensure issues and incidents related to the firm’s products are managed and resolved in a timely manner.

Experience & Qualifications

Excellent understanding of fund structures and their legal and regulatory requirements across major developed markets (for example, the UK EU, US etc.).
You will have a demonstrable track record of Product Development/Management within the Asset Management arena.
Strong understanding of the market and investment theory.
In depth knowledge of UCITS regulatory requirements.
Deep knowledge of asset management industry and competitors.
Robust knowledge of ESG and Sustainable products.
Understanding of the relevant legal and regulatory considerations associated with launching new products across different markets and geographies.
Adept at managing outsourced service providers and holding them to account in respect of any service agreements.
Strong relationship management, decision-making and organisational skills and a high awareness of the varying products and their regulatory requirements.
