Systems Analyst - £Exc + bens
Our client, a highly regarded Asset Manager with circa $40Bil of Asset Under Management is looking for an experienced Systems Analyst to support the Head of Information Systems and enhance the firm’s systems architecture. This is a hands-on role which will provide an excellent platform for personal development. The successful candidate will complete business critical changes as the firm seeks to undertake and programme of work to further enhance their operating environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
Whilst it is expected the role to cover all aspects of technology change, the successful candidate will have good business knowledge, understanding the full trade lifecycle and accounting principles.
Working as part of a team developing and supporting robust solutions utilising industry standard practices and technologies.
Assisting in determining the appropriate technology required to deliver business requirements.
Liaising with end users in order to accurately identify business requirements and provide effective solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Understanding business process and business requirements of the user teams, and translating them to specific software requirements.
Effectively communicating with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver current state process documentation and future functional requirements.
Completing projects for teh firms applications, maintaining comprehensive and appropriate documentation.
System and database administration.
Experience & Qualifications
A minimum of 7 years’ experience of working in an Investment Management firm.
Prior experience of working with one or more of SimCorp Dimension, Coric, ThinkFolio, Informatica, Flextrade, Satuit.
A minimum of 5 years detailed experience of working with SQL Server.
Educated to a graduate level (2.1 or above)
Organised and able to prioritise, and work well under pressure.
Good communication skills, both written and oral, with business users and vendors.
Good problem analysis and resolution skills.
Focused on delivery and quality of service.
A history of delivering high quality solutions to a demanding user base.
A self-starting, motivated, enthusiastic, dynamic, logical and practical individual.
Good influencing and relationship building skills.
Having high attention to detail.
Hands on, intellectually curious, able to work across diverse areas and not be afraid to tackle things from first principals.
