Alternative / Funds Client Accountant - Up to £50,000 base salary + bens + bonus

Our client, a global Fund and Corporate Services firm, is currently seeking a Client Accountant to join its UK Funds Services team, reporting into the Associate Director of UK Funds Services. Candidates must be fully or partly ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified; and have funds experience (ideally with knowledge of Alternatives, Private Equity or Real Estate in Fund Accounting from either an Asset Management or Fund Services provider background. Roles & Responsibilities

This is a career enhancing opportunity where your responsibilities be very client focused and involve co-ordinating client deliverables; but will also include preparing management accounts and annual financial statements, overseeing fund and special purpose vehicle accounting prepared by offshored teams (e.g. reviewing NAV calculations); to liaising with auditors and having increasing levels of client interaction (as well as the opportunity to study for further qualifications). Clients include open and closed end funds and special purpose vehicles investing in Private Equity, Real Estate, Venture Capital, Infrastructure and Debt.

Experience & Qualifications

University degree or equivalent.
Partly or fully qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
Experience in the Funds Industry (from a Service Provider or Investment Manager), preferably with Alternatives, Private Equity or Real Estate fund accounting.
Awareness of UK GAAP / IFRS is beneficial.
Strong client service skills and the desire to provide excellent client service in the face of conflicting demands and tight reporting deadlines.
Team player ethos, and proactiveness, strong attention to detail and enthusiasm.
