Asset Services / Corporate Actions Senior Analyst, Securities Lending Operations - Up to £45k base + bonus + bens

Our client, a Global Financial Services Group, is seeking an experienced Corporate Actions specialist (1 – 2 years’ minimum) to join its dynamic and growing Securities Lending division – which provides clients with an outsourced Agency Securities Lending and Financing solution platform. The successful candidate will efficiently process Asset Servicing events (Income and Corporate Actions) on Securities Lending positions and related funding transactions and collateral movements.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the following operational duties:

- Asset Servicing (all aspects of Corporate Actions, manufactured income and income on collateral)

- Transactions (trade capture, instruction routing, settlement management)

- Collateral Management

- Cash processing

- Reconciliations (investigating, resolving breaks, and reporting)

- Monthly billing

- Liaison with Middle and Front Offices, other Operations colleagues and Operational Risk.

  • Risk and Control:

- Promptly escalating operational issues to the management.

- Generating risk metrics and contributing to risk reporting for senior stakeholders.

  • Stakeholder Coordination.

  • Documentation and policy writing.

  • Administrative duties.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in some or all areas of Asset Servicing functions and processes (i.e. Corporate Actions management, Income / Claims processing; reading and understanding SWIFT 56* messages).

  • Ideally post-trade securities lending experience in trade capture, instruction management, settlement and collateral processes.

  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail (there will be an Excel task / attention to detail test at the first interview).

  • Ability to work independently and in teams, solve problems, and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills to ensure effective liaison with brokers, custodians, internal teams and trading desks.

  • Good data interpretation skills for transaction, reconciliation, and system data to identify mismatches or operational errors.

  • Ideally some legal and regulatory knowledge, and experience with systems such as EasyWay, Xact, Broadridge, Spire, Pirum, Global One, Apex, SWIFT, treasury, accounting and reconciliation platforms.
