Business Development Trainee , City of London - £Exc
Our client, an investment management house, based in the City of London, is seeking a highly organised, proactive and customer-focused Business Development Trainee to join a busy Distribution team.
This is a varied role providing administrative and operational support across the team, with responsibility for client liaison, reporting, events, meeting coordination and general team support. You will work with a range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring requests are handled accurately, professionally and within agreed deadlines.
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Distribution team.
Maintain and update the Salesforce CRM system, ensuring information is accurate and procedures are followed.
Coordinate client, product and fund information requests and maintain appropriate records for audit purposes.
Produce reports and analysis, including performance, risk and competitor information.
Manage multiple email inboxes, prioritising and responding to requests in line with internal processes and deadlines.
Support team members with ad hoc client requests and data requirements using systems including Salesforce, Power BI, Financial Clarity and FE Analytics.
Coordinate meetings, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders, taking minutes and maintaining action logs.
Prepare and distribute presentations and marketing materials.
Arrange travel and accommodation and assist with expenses.
Support the end-to-end delivery of events, including venue liaison, invitations, delegate management, documentation, itineraries and post-event administration.
Ensure event documentation is accurate, compliant and appropriately maintained for audit purposes.
Provide general support to the wider Client Services and Facilities teams as required.
Experience & Qualifications
This role will suit a recent graduate with a client service or business development internship in the finance industry, preferably in Fund Management or Wealth Management.
