Business Systems & AI Lead – 12M FTC - £Exc

Our client, a mid-size Asset Manager with a unique culture and approach to investment are looking to add to their Technology team by hiring a Business Systems & AI Lead. Reporting to the Head of Technology, the Business Systems and AI Lead is responsible for linking people, process, and technology, and for driving the adoption of innovative solutions including Artificial Intelligence across the firm.

Roles & Responsibilities

Formulate and execute the firm’s strategy for business systems, incorporating new technologies such as AI.
Chair the AI Governance Group, setting agendas and leading discussions to ensure robust governance for AI adoption.
Drive AI adoption throughout the organisation, leading on policy, training, communication, and cultural transformation.
Influence senior leadership and stakeholders to shape AI policy and adoption strategies.
Lead the development and governance of a suite of business systems.
Collaborate closely with the Data team and business domain teams to design and implement solutions.
Manage and develop the Business Systems / Front Office Systems team.
Oversee vendor management, system integrations, process improvement, and project delivery.

Experience & Qualifications

Proven experience in business systems leadership, within the Asset Management industry.
Strong understanding of AI technologies and their practical application in business.
Experience in change management, system integration, and project delivery.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team.
Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
Ability to hit the ground running, particularly with line management responsibilities, to ensure as much stability as possible in the cover period.
