Client Solutions Principal - Alternatives (Paris) £Exc + bonus & bens
Our client, a highly regarded multi-asset Investment firm are expanding their Alternatives Asset Management arm which focuses on creating bespoke solutions for a range of clients. This newly created role will support the European Head of Distribution, and the successful candidate will play a front-line role in developing new business across European distribution channels. The role will be based in the firm’s Paris office.
Roles & Responsibilities
Proactively originate, develop, and manage distributor relationships across Europe with a focus on France and Benelux, supporting senior-level outreach while independently owning smaller and emerging distributor relationships; build and deepen networks with appropriate decision-makers at target firms.
Identify and pursue new distribution opportunities through rigorous market intelligence, targeted desktop research, and active networking, converting insights into actionable sales strategies and outreach plans.
Prepare and customise sales and client-facing materials, tailoring propositions to specific distributors, client needs, and regional market dynamics.
Take ownership of ad hoc and strategic distribution initiatives, including bespoke fund opportunities, coordinating across internal stakeholders to deliver commercially viable solutions.
Be responsible for ensuring all information security processes, policies and procedures are adhered to and any issues or concerns are raised with the Cyber Security team.
Ensure full compliance with all local data protection regulations and privacy controls, and any related issues are raised via the appropriate channels.
Experience & Qualifications
Approximately 4-8 years’ experience with fund sales and/or IR to distributors with a focus across Europe.
Experience with selling alternative assets is a plus – particularly private markets asset classes.
Knowledge of EMEA and/or APAC Private Wealth Market is preferred.
A foundational grasp of all asset classes would be advantageous.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.
Advanced degree (e.g. MBA) and/or professional certification (e.g. CFA, CAIA) is a plus.
Fluent in English (written and spoken) is essential; other relevant European languages are a plus.
Highly entrepreneurial and collaborative.
Comfortable with a fast-moving business building environment.
Comfortable with the ‘player coach’ role combining individual contribution with building a team over time.
