Escrow Specialist £55-£75 + bens & bonus
Our client, a highly reputable and market leading Investment Trust company who provide independent governance and transactional support services, are keen to make an addition to their growing Escrow team. The role is varied including daily transactional duties as well as revenue generation through the effective marketing of the Company's Corporate Trust – in particular, Escrow services; so candidates will need at least 2 – 6 years’ experience working in this field.
Roles & Responsibilities
To support the on boarding of new Escrow transactions and manage a wide array of Treasury functions and responsibilities.
Co-ordinate with client’s in-house/external legal counsel to negotiate Escrow contracts, review supporting governing documents across a whole host of CT products such as Paying Agent Agreements, Settlement Agreements, Account Bank Agreements, Charge Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements and partner with internal legal to ensure aggressive deadlines are met, but the risk profile of the firm is protected.
Present new Escrow deals during the weekly pipeline meeting.
Accompany the Head of Escrow to client meetings and assist in co-presenting to a large number of law firms (more specifically their corporate M&A teams) in order to market the Escrow product.
Build and maintain an extensive network of client law firm relationships.
Collaborate with the finance team monthly to validate the monthly forecasting figures.
Ensuring that all operational transactions are smoothly, promptly, and accurately processed. Requires the monitoring and management of transaction flows, bank account and stock reconciliation queries, review and maintenance of operational risk and procedures, meeting all departmental reporting requirements and maintenance of Treasury management systems to meet the needs of the department.
Liaising with the accounts department to ensure the preparation of invoices incurred in connection with all transactions. Dispatching the prepared invoices and monitoring the payment of these fees from the relevant parties.
Attending meetings with external clients to promote the business; together with identifying areas for growth and appropriate contacts to meet.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential - a track record in Escrow and Treasury roles (min 2 years’).
Management of a suite of third party / supplier/partner relationships ideally.
Driven, commercial and highly entrepreneurial.
Analytical approach with excellent attention to detail.
Independent thinker, intellectually curious.
Resilience, willingness to listen, learn and incorporate feedback.
Ambition to take on a managerial role if the opportunity arises.
